Faction of the Vitalii Klychko Bloc in Kiev municipal council finds illegal Kiev mayor Leonid Chernovetskyi's initiative to reorganize the Kiev city's ten districts into five.
The bloc thinks that reorganization of the districts would entail social tension in the Kiev city and collapse of the municipal economy, and also deprive citizens of the opportunity to obtain medical, educational and other services.

Kiev city Mayor Leonid Chernovetskyi has proposed that the Kiev municipal council reduce the number of districts in Kyiv from 10 to 5.
"To create five districts in Kiev and give them the following names: Darnytskyi, Desnianskyi, Obolonskyi, Pecherskyi, and Solomianskyi" the draft decision states.
